What an affiliate link is
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and book or buy something, the company may pay me a small commission. The price you pay is the same as going to them directly.
How I choose what to link
I only link to places I've stayed and tools I use myself, like the hotels in my Bali and Cappadocia guides. Some recommendations aren't affiliate links at all: I mention them because I use them, and I earn nothing from them. Commissions never decide what goes in a guide.
How to spot them
Any page with affiliate links says so near the links. They open in a new tab and are marked as sponsored for search engines.
Why
The guides, maps and tools on this site are free. Affiliate commissions help keep them that way. Questions? Get in touch through the contact page.
